Great product for the money! Lifters are quiet have 100 miles in and Truck runs and sounds great. Only bad thing is valve cover gaskets are junk they slip out

This one is in a 2010 Ram 1500. Obviously it has a 5.7 hemi. That ram has definitely seen better days and has been used quite a bit, but this definitely helped. At least thus far it has helped.

I didn't want to review this the moment I put it in just because things like this are better left tested for a bit. Now, it's only been in for a month, but that's better than reviewing it 30 seconds after I installed it.

Installation is, well, pretty involved. If you aren't comfortable tearing down an engine, you probably should have a mechanic do this. I took the whole engine out of the truck and put it on a stand to do it. I guess it would be theoretically possible to do in the truck, but that would be horrible. I might have attempted it 20 years ago, but I'm entirely too lazy to do that today.

One thing to note is that this is not an MDS delete kit. Technically, it's part of one, but it's not a whole one. It is an overall kit for a non MDS hemi. If you do delete your MDS using this, you do definitely have to get your computer retuned. Your computer is an MDS computer. Mine isn't, so I didn't have to bother with any of that. I don't know exactly what would happen if you tried to drive an MDS truck with the MDS deleted and no tune, but I don't think I'd try it.

The quality of most of the parts of the kit is pretty good. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of would be the water plugs. The quality of those doesn't seem spectacular. I didn't actually test those, just because I know someone who used aftermarket plugs like these and they failed. I sent him a picture of these, and he told me to just just get OEM plugs. So I did. That's the only part of the kit I didn't use. I was going to use it, but the OEM plugs were less than 20 bucks so I just didn't bother.

Everything fit like it's supposed to be there, probably because it is supposed to be there. I had absolutely zero problems with fit.

Like I said, this isn't involved installation. It's not something you're going to do in 10 minutes. It was something that took me several days all told. I didn't work on it non-stop, but it still took quite a while. That's not the fault of the kit. There's no way to do this quickly. It's not simple plug and play stuff.

So far, so good. I've had zero problems with this truck thus far. I've been trying to drive it around the farm a good bit and take it on various trips to get stuff. I've probably put around a thousand miles on it since I installed this kit. Thus far everything's functioning just fine. The truck is running smoothly. I don't see anything leaking. Everything's good. I've checked the oil about a dozen times a day since then, and there's definitely no antifreeze in there. That milkshake is not something that I want to see. There is none here, so I'm happy, thus far at least.
